When speaking about the best stadiums of the Pac-12 it’s only natural to start with The Rose Bowl. This stadium by far supersedes any other stadium for one simple fact January first of every year. The Rose Bowl game is one of the very best and I look forward to watching it every year. This stadium sits over 90,000 people and it has hosted almost every major sporting event. This is also a national landmark so if going near Pasadena, California you should try and make a visit. This stadium is said to have one of the most beautiful locations in college football being at the foot of San Gabriel Mountains, which can be seen in or outside the stadium.
The next stadium on my list is Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, also called the grand old lady. This stadium can seat over 93,000 people. Being in Los Angeles this stadium was used in filming movies, television shows, and even video games. It has also hosted Olympic Games as well as many other major sporting events. In my opinion this is one of the favorite stadiums in the Pac-12.
The Autzen Stadium in Oregon comes next. Although it only seats close to 60,000 it is said to be one of the oldest if not the loudest stadium in college football. This is 30,000 less than the Rose Bowl so that is amazing to think about. Oregon won all of its home games in 2009, 2010, and 2013. At the beginning of every game the Oregon duck mascot blast in front of the players, on a Harley Davidson, onto the field.
The next stadium I will be covering is the Husky stadium in Seattle. Recently renovated at an estimated 280 million dollars not only is this said to be the loudest stadium reaching up to 100 decibels at times it is one of the most beautiful. This stadium sits between Lake Washington, the city and even mountain ranges. This was a much needed upgrade, because before the upgrade it was said to be run down worn out and an eyesore.
Colorado’s Folsom Field is another great stadium to add to the must see list being right next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains this is definitely a stadium I would live to visit myself. This would be an awesome place to go on vacation but make sure you plan it so you can catch a game. This is said to be the most beautiful campus in the country.
